Some services provided are not covered under our contract with the NHS and therefore attract charges. Examples include the following:

• Medicals for pre-employment, sports and driving requirements (HGV, PSV etc.)
• Insurance claim forms
• Prescriptions for taking medication abroad
• Private sick notes
• Vaccination certificates

The fees charged are based on the British Medical Association (BMA) suggested scales and our reception staff will be happy to advise you about them along with appointment availability.

Important information regarding Firearms Licensing

Some of the GPs at the practice conscientiously object to gun ownership, and will therefore not be able to complete any paperwork in this regard. If you are requiring a renewal of a firearms license or applying for a new one please be aware that this applies to Dr Wright, Dr Turney & Dr Pollard.

If we are closed and you are suffering from earache, Boots Castlepoint offer an Adult Ear ache Service.  This will be a private consultation with a trained pharmacist to confirm the cause of the earache and prescription treatments can be supplied to the patient if deemed clinically appropriate.  This service is for Adults over the age of 18 and does incur a private consultation fee and if required, a private prescription fee.
