SICK NOTE INFORMATION FROM 20th MARCH 2020

Those who have COVID-19 (Corona Virus) or advised to self-isolate will be able to obtain an isolation note by visiting NHS 111 online and completing an online form rather than contacting a GP.  For COVID 19 cases this replaces the usual need to provide a "fit note" after seven days of sickness absence.  Isolation notes will also be accepted by Jobcentre Plus as evidence of your inability to attend.

This will help during the Cornavirus outbreak as it cuts down visiting the surgery.

GP Earnings

All GP practices are required to declare the mean earnings (e.g. average pay) for GPs working to deliver NHS services to patients at each practice.

The average pay for GPs working in Moordown Medical Centre in the last financial year was £75,757 before tax and National Insurance.  This is for 3 full time GP's, 3 part time GP's and no locum GP's who worked in the practice for more than six months.

NHS England require that the net earnings of GPs in practice be published.  However the method of calculating this data does not take into account the time each GP devotes to the practice and therefore should not be used to compare one practice with another or to draw conclusions about GP earnings in general.
